West Fannin Elementary School, located in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Fannin County, serves approximately 500 students in grades kindergarten through fifth. West Fannin was created in 1992 when two elementary schools, Epworth and McCaysville, were consolidated to become one school. The teachers and staff have come together to furnish an environment and facilities which are conductive to an optimum learning experience.
Our mission at West Fannin is to provide all students with the opportunity to learn and succeed. We will strive to provide an environment that promotes lifelong learning as a cornerstone of a free democratic society. Our vision for our school is that it will be recognized as one of the most outstanding elementary schools in Fannin County. The overall opinion of the students, parents, and teachers indicate that West Fannin is a good place to be educated and prepare for the future.
